NNLO corrections to ¯B → Xuℓ¯νℓ and the

چکیده
We study the impact of next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) QCD corrections on partial decay rates in B̄ → Xulν̄l decays, at leading-order in the 1/mb expansion for shapefunction kinematics. These corrections are implemented within a modified form of the BLNP framework, which allows for arbitrary variations of the jet scale μi ∼ 1.5 GeV. Our analysis includes a detailed comparison between resummed and fixed-order perturbation theory, and between the complete NNLO results and those obtained in the large-β0 approximation. For the default choice μi = 1.5 GeV used in current extractions of |Vub| within the BLNP framework, the NNLO corrections induce significant downward shifts in the central values of partial decay rates with cuts on the hadronic variable P+, the hadronic invariant mass, and the lepton energy. At the same time, perturbative uncertainties are reduced, especially those at the jet scale, which are the dominant ones at next-to-leading order (NLO). For higher values of μi and in fixed-order perturbation theory, the shifts between NLO and NNLO are more moderate. We combine our new results with known power-suppressed terms in order to illustrate the implications of our analysis on the determination of |Vub| from inclusive decays.

The inclusive decay B̄ → Xulν̄ is of much interest because of its potential to constrain the CKM element |Vub|. Due to experimental cuts required to suppress charm background, measurements of this decay are available only in the shape-function region, where the hadronic final state is collimated into a single jet carrying a large energy on the order of mb and a moderate invariant mass squared on ...

We compute the αsβ0 part of the two-loop QCD corrections to the charged lepton spectrum in b → clν̄l decays and find them to be about 50% of the first order corrections at all lepton energies, except those close to the end point. Including these corrections we extract the central values Λ̄ = 0.33GeV and λ1 = −0.17GeV for the HQET matrix elements and use them to determine the MS b and c quark mass...
متن کاملElectroweak Penguin Contributions to Non - Leptonic ∆ F = 1 Decays at NNLO
We calculate the O(αs) corrections to the Z-penguin and electroweak box diagrams relevant for non-leptonic ∆F = 1 decays with F = S,B. This calculation provides the complete O(αWαs) and O(αWαs sin θWmt ) corrections (αW = α/ sin θW ) to the Wilson coefficients of the electroweak penguin four quark operators relevant for non-leptonic Kand B-decays. We argue that this is the dominant part of the ...
متن کاملNNLO Vertex Corrections in charmless hadronic B decays: Imaginary part
We compute the imaginary part of the 2-loop vertex corrections in the QCD Factorization framework for hadronic two-body decays as B → ππ. This completes the NNLO calculation of the imaginary part of the topological tree amplitudes and represents an important step towards a NNLO prediction of direct CP asymmetries in QCD Factorization. Concerning the technical aspects, we find that soft and coll...

We compute the 1-loop (NNLO) corrections to hard spectator-scattering in tree-dominated hadronic B decays. Depending on the values of hadronic input parameters the corrections are shown to have a significant impact on the B → ππ branching fractions.
